I’m reaching out because my Window Capture source in OBS has suddenly stopped working out of nowhere and now only shows a black screen. This issue appeared unexpectedly without any changes on my end, and it affects all windows I try to capture using Window Capture specifically. I have already tried many common troubleshooting steps, including running OBS as administrator, disabling hardware acceleration in the apps I want to capture, switching capture methods (Automatic, BitBlt, Windows 10), disabling fullscreen optimizations on target apps, updating my graphics drivers, ensuring OBS is running properly on my single GPU setup, testing both Window Capture and Game Capture sources, and toggling OBS’s renderer settings. Despite all this, the black screen persists only in Window Capture; other capture methods still work. I have not performed a hard reset or created a new Windows account, as I consider these extreme and unnecessary at this point. Given that this started happening suddenly and affects only Window Capture, I suspect it’s related to a specific recent change or bug within OBS or its interaction with Windows. Any insight or guidance you can provide to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
