Question / Help Is there any way to reconnect to an RTMP if the connection is lost

I am currently streaming from the street, with a gopro7 and I issue an RTMP that I created on my computer, in some moments the connection is lost.
Is there any way to make my OBS reconnect the RTMP when it is active again? I currently have it added as a VLC Source.

Yes, please, someone. I'm struggling with this issue as well. I'm streaming from my phone, to my server which is running OBS as well as a RTMP server. If my phone lose connection, I have to hide and unhide the source for it to "reconnect" or "refresh" itself - to get video and audio from the RTMP stream going again.

That is an issue, it means since it's not automatically not reconnecting/refreshing the source - I constantly have to check every other minute if everything is okay. I have gone through so many posts about this issue, and it seems like a lot of people are sharing this problem. I found one guy that made a script that automatically hides and unhides the source when connection is lost and then established - but that was for a IP home camera with a static IP.

I really really need a better system going, I can't constantly walk around worried about the source - it sucks the joy out of everything.

Thanks!

You can try using NOALBS.

I know this is a delayed answer, terribly delayed. And that I'm resurrecting an old post. But in the off-chance that somebody had/has the same issue as me - I just want to confirm that NOALBS completely sorted EVERYTHING out for me. Absolutely amazing open source project, can't give those people enough props.

Also, thanks LosTigeros for suggesting NOALBS. It solved every single problem I had.
